Celery Music Presents: Kevin Hearn and Thinbuckle ‘s H Wing
I am excited to announce that my 2001 record H Wing is now available on vinyl, for the first time.
This is a limited edition pressing of 300 copies; four sides, on 180g translucent red and white vinyl. The record was mastered and cut for vinyl by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. It is packaged in a gatefold sleeve with a beautiful reproduction of the Juno nominated artwork . It includes extra photos, drawings, and liner notes from the time of the record’s recording and release. The vinyl also includes four previously unreleased bonus tracks, one of which features a spoken word cameo appearance by Lou Reed.
Written for the most part, in the H Wing of Princess Margaret Hospital, as I fought for my life, this is definitely my most personal record. It is dark, but also whimsical and hopeful. It features the Thinbuckle band, which comprises my amazing musician friends: Martin Tielli (Rheostatics), Bob Scott, Chris Gartner, and Derek Orford (all Look People). The record was recorded at Canterbury Studios, in Toronto, by Jeremy Darby. The vinyl release will be followed by a brand new digital ATMOS mix of the record, by producer Michael Philip Wojewoda.
